How can a resident of the US get a job/apartment in Canada, before becoming a Canadian resident?

about canada job Asked by old lady:
How can a resident of the US get a job/apartment in Canada, before becoming a Canadian resident?

My chosen answer:
Canada has rules too. You can’t just come in and get a job – you need to have a skill and a guaranteed job before you can immigrate. That said, there are special conditions for university and college students, whereby you are allowed to work for a stipulated period of time. Contact the Canadian Consulate, or google up Government of Canada’s website and follow it through to find the regulations for students.
There’s no problem with renting apartments – you don’t have to be a citizen, landed immigrant or anything else. Landlords will rent to Martians as long as they pay the rent regularily.

Voyages Extraordinaires
